Kay Hall Drill Hall & Auditorium

In addition to housing fitness and training space for the US Navy, this historic structure has served as the Drill Hall and Ceremonial Assembly Floor for the US Naval Station at Newport since its construction during WWII.

With a Rhode Island State Preservation Office “HISTORIC” listing, Heather helped select interior finishes that would complement the historic nature of the building and enhance the building’s function as an important event facility for the Navy.

In addition to restoring the WWII-style Quonset Hut gymnasium, Heather also chose up-to-date finishes for staff offices and locker rooms, all while maintaining the historic feel of the structure.
